I've been away since long before all the new weapons and armor types. Back in the day it was simple...there were five different types of weapon...like a sword could be of might, power, vanquishing, etc.

I went on a t-hunt and dug up a bunch of stuff and have no idea if it's any good. I looked over stratics, and perhaps I missed it, but couldn't really find anything that told me what properties were valuable in an item.

Can someone point me in the direction of a chart or something that can tell me what I need to be looking for?

Are there any of these properties more desirable than others? Or anything in the "high" range is good?

The kinds of properties you will want depends on the type of player you are and character you're using. There are certain properties that are typically the most desireable for certain character types. For example, a PvM mage would usually look for things like: faster casting, faster cast recovery, spell damage increase, defence chance increase, spell channeling (for shields), lower reagent cost, lower mana cost, luck, high resists. A PvM warrior would look for some of those same things but also hit chance increase, hit life/mana/stamina leech, swing speed increase, damage increase, hit lower defence, and super slayer or slayer-type weapons and high physical resists. There are some other properties that are very desireable for any type of character such as enhance potions, increased stats/skills and stat regen stuff. There may be a few things I left out on those lists, but those are typically the most desireable properties and are worth the most. Keep in mind also that there are caps on some properties such as faster casting at 2 (for mages and necros, but 4 for spellweaving, chiv, bushido and some other stuff) or defence chance increase at 45%, these types of things come into play when you are designing full suits for yourself or to sell on vendors.
