ever try crafting yumis? 4 or 5 fails with gm fletch and armslore and a 25 exceptional talisman.

heavy xbows - 2 or 3 fails per kit.

I believe its to slow the amount of outrageously overpowered archery weapons that players must encounter.

No. Crafters already have a cramped template, 120.0 Fletching would be even more ridiculous. My Craftsman has 120.0 Blacksmithing/120.0 Tailoring/GM Carpentry/GM Fletching/GM Tinkering/GM Armslore/80.0 Magery. When they made Arms Lore useful again, i had to throw his GM Mining on another char in order to pick up my old GM Armslore that i had sitting on a Soulstone Fragment.

Plus like stated already, in PvP we come across Archers with insanely overpowered bows. **** with 40% SSI, 40%+ Dam Inc, High Fireball/Lightning %, High Velocity % and Balanced, allowing the Archer to chug healing pots on the run, making them nearly impossible to kill, the ones that speedhack and have a pot chugging script take an entire ganksquad to burst down.
Ever been hit by a Double Shot from a Yumi with Lightning/Velocity? It's insane. Thing about the Double Shot of a Yumi is, that if the first arrow hits, the second arrow is guaranteed to hit. If the first arrow misses, it doesn't consume the special, or the Mana. Armor Pierce from a Yumi acts differently than a Armor Ignore, it doesn't ignore all your armor (Which is capped at 35 damage), it ignores half of the victims Resists, and is not damage capped. So a high Dam Inc Yumi will do more damage with a Armor Pierce than a Armor Ignore will.

I would like to fail less while crafting also while repairing. So I say YES 120 fletching.

Inscription is useless without magery, unless you are just making scrolls.

It's also nice for copying books :)

(but since its a crafting skill, I have a character built around it ... mind you, he has a fair amount of magery too, but he's a sage first and a wizard second ... much of the time, I build the character around a RP concept first, then figure out what adventures he can undertake)

I can understand that, and unless your one of those scripting for or duping runics, there should be low chance for the uber though. We all have pride in our crafters and those hacks items made don't carry the makers names. See more and more weapons and armor without the makers name now.

Top of the list for an old skill in need of the 120 PS is Mining. Failing 2-6 times in a row on gold and higher can be a pain for us that have the mouse in hand and actually play the game.

NO to 120 skill for crafts.

Even smith and tailor were a bad idea. Once those two hit 120 they simply added more difficult items to craft to extend the range of difficulties.

It would be a better, cleaner system without 120's (which allowed them to add more difficulty) and Talismans (which basically undo the difficulty bump).

How about instead of having a 20 scroll, why not make things easier to make. I would rather not HAVE to get another 20 ps just to be able to make things easier.

We need to get rid of 120's altogether and scale everything down to 100.

:scholar:

Oh yeah, and get rid of xfer tokens, soul stones, and name changes.

How about revert every 120 skill back to 100 dump Power scrolls? Keep in mind I have a 120 tamer:p

You don't like having added layers and deapth to character development?
Added layers of depth, you mean the more gold someone might have to pay to buy a scroll and then the long boring training that is required to reach that added depth. No thanks I would have rather just stayed with my gm skills, instead of this great addition.

NO NO NO

NO MORE EXTRA BENEFITS FOR SCRIPTORS.

PERIOD!!

PLEASE STOP THIS TOPIC!!!

In fact, I think the current quest system in Heartwood should be RANDOMIZED on the items request. Not all things should be able to obtain by crafting, crafting and crafting with the same items.

Make the quest require you to find other items as well! And those items could NOT be guessed at all since its random all the time.

I'm guessing it's Shiiiii.....y.... with a T thrown in there?

120 Fletching... sure it's hard to make a Yumi even with a good tali. But I say no. I have a crafter and play an archer as well. So why no? I'll tell you why...

Imagine an archer with a 'godly' Yumi... double hit spell, with really high DI, SSI etc... I did a test on test center with a double hit spell Yumi...If the special on the Yumi, Double Shot works and everything does indeed do a double hit, you can do an INSANE amount of damage in just one hit. Talk about overpowered. Imbueing isn't going to help the situation either.

All 120 fletching would do, is put more uber weapons in the hands of gimps. Now imagine someone using a speeder program while using an even more uber weapon? No chance in Hell.

Case closed.
