I used to be a big UOForums fan. However, there was a period of a few months when every other thread was aimed at trashing Stratics. Eventually, I found that reading UOForums just left me feeling brooding and depressed.

The post mentioned above is a good example of this phenomenon.

To be honest, you're exaggerating just a bit

Most of the negative Stratics threads were posted in guild areas and those forums aren't monitored or moderated by our staff. (Although we have in the past asked for such threads be moved into private areas or toned down a bit)

We try and keep Anti stratics stuff to a minimum and to be honest, if someone is banned from here, for whatever reason, the first thing most of them do is go to the next UO forum to complain about it.

If you do a search for Stratics on our forums, there aren't many threads with a negative theme, except the ones when Stratics was hacked/broken into.

As far as my comments go about UHall and Jackasses, SOME of UHall's resident trollers give it the reputation it has, unfortunatly.

Meh... I have no particular gripe about any one baord vs another. I'm here simply because I've been here for over 12 years (all the way back to the original UHall on UOSS long before there were moderators, linear view, or post bumping).

It's had its good threads and its bad threads.

And yes, I have a certain segment on ignore (for good reason), but that would likely hold true regardless of board I would be posting on.

That's true, although from memory, they weren't made by the staff, nor were they in the general UO forum areas. (I could be wrong, but I think they were all, or mostly in a certain catskills guild area)

Your attempts to keep anti-Stratics rhetoric off of UO Forums have actually been successful enough that it actually pissed me off once. *chuckles*

During one of Stratics's worst issues, I floated the notion that they'd been hacked; certain things that they'd said raised that flag for me, based on what'd happened to UOLS.net, and based on the beginning of Stratics's issues with their ad server. (This was the big database crash from many years back, around the time of the Royal Council Massacre/Hope for the Future event.) A Stratics person, I forget who, came into UO Forums, trashed me, and gave me some kind of negative feedback.

He never logged into UO Forums again, at least not the last time I checked, and the great irony of someone coming onto UO Forums for the sole purpose of marking the reputation of someone who posts there regularly has stuck with me to this day.

Oh well....It's funny sometimes, what I'll remember.

So yeah...Anyone who thinks UO Forums consists largely, or even in significant part, of Stratics-bashing is incorrect. Anyone who says it is is incorrect or lying or both.
