Watch your Blue bug lose its skin

I had always heard in order for bugs to grow it had to lose if shell well mine must realy be growing . While on a Tall Ship sailing west to east if i remount my bug while boat is moveing forward i can watch my bugs skin slide off in to the water. Seems to have no effect on the bug or other ships kind of fun tho to see.
