I know there is another post on it but the title is misleading. Since the last patch if you die you can log out and then log back in and you are no longer dead, but you are wearing a death robe. The death robe can be put on a vendor or into your bank box.

There are already people on Atlantic exploiting this by trying to sell the death robes! I imagine there will be an emergency patch coming to a shard near you! Anyhow, I just wanted to bring it to everyone's attention!

If you cross server lines it will delete itself as well.

Had this happen to me, the item disappeared when i recalled out of the area.
Emergency patch for a self-deleting item? well i suppose for a vendor scam.

I'm sure this is just a part of the whole reclassification of hierarchies of hues. Someone added death robes and grey pallor to the hue/facade heirarchy and forgot to make it 'read-only'. It'll be fixed in a patch tonight.

If you die, you don't have to be rezzed! You just re-log and you are alive! That is why it won't wait to be fixxed long.

I tried this and it didnt work. Then I started walking to a healer and decided to try again. It worked. idk what robe your talking about though. The self res is bad yes.

ps. i did send in bug report. so next month when they read it they will have a history lesson!

you also dont see if the person is carrying a weapon or shield unless you look at their paper doll

Flutter, I'm not sure but I think that might just possibly be the most sensible thing I have ever heard you say. Tell you what. I let myself get worked up yesterday. The good news is, that was a 24 hour bug. ;)

I suspect the "right" lesson would be to only have senior developers working and modifying the most visible code (like the display order for the characters' wearables and effects.)

The weirdness going on makes me suspect someone made some code changes without understanding the complete impact of them.

I am now officially afraid to log in.

They need to revert the changes to the skins system til they can test it much more thouroughly.

I don't think they need to revert to change the hues of the skins...a simple patch properly done can change the hues.

Not revert the shards, revert the system changes.. all those edits they made to how hues and forms are stored and displayed.. that's obviously what's causing all of these problems.

Agreed, revert it back to i think it is 3 publishes ago when things actually worked how they where intended!

Perhaps we should all go DL gamemaker7.0 and find out how easy it is to make a video game. I mean, surely the law of unintended concequences is just a figment of the players imagination.
But yes, there seems to be a big QC problem. Maybe they should turn on retribution everytime there is a change in the game before it gets patched, so players can test-drive it.
