Adding focus gems ruins elemental weapons. I added a focus gem to a 100% fire damage soul glaive and it cut my damage in half. It also removes the bright orange hue of the weapon. The weapon still says fire damage, but it does not apply appropriate damage.

Not sure if it was intended or a bug.

Did your damage increase over time. I used it on one of my throwing weapons. Damage seems to start of smaller, but its much larger at the end than normal.

It also reset my weapons durability to 255/255. It was 200/255 to start with.

I`m wondering if Focus works a bit like perfection. I also noticed the color of the blade changes when throwing at different oponents. Once it has a damage type color it seems to keep that color till creature is dead.

Is it selecting best damage type? If that's indicated by color, others could see that and know what to use on new MOBs (events and such).

The first time I double click mine, it says that it's a "Rage focused". Are all of these the same?

Did do some experiments with focus today.
Monster was Niporailem, because he always has one resist at 0 and enough hitpoints.
Used a leafblade with focus, and another one without for comparison, damage on paperdoll is 50-57 for both.
Consecrate works as expected on both weapons, and i did keep it running all the time.

First i did check if we can get over the damage cap of 300%, so i used honor, eoo, and conjurer's trinket. Result was that with both weapons maximum damage was 171, as it should be for 300%.

Then i used only conjurers trinket and no honor or eoo, so 200% damage.
Using regular weapon i did deal 100-114 damage . The weapon with focus did deal 137 damage maximum, but not constant. It started at like 50% of what it should do and did go up with every swing. Damage did stay above 200% for some swings, then next swing i was at 60-65 again and the cycle started again.

Was also doing some experiments using an imbued kryss with focus that showed 33-40 damage on paperdoll. Armor ignore at first swing did deal around 16 damage.Best ai i got was 43.

So it seems you can do higher peak damage if you are not at damage cap,but you will also do much lower damage sometimes. I do not really see a use for that. I wonder if the spell focus on the new sash works the same.

It says, "Will make weapon rage focused weapon & brittle". I would have to find a 110 Animal Lore PS to see if it is doing that. Would have to put Anim Lore on my thrower to find out.

I`m wondering if Brittle does cause an accelerated durability loss.

I did see damage spikes with the Focus Sash. I would Curse + Corpse skin the Bane Guardian Demons. I would flame strike them for 30 damage to start. Towards the end of the fight I would hit them for 90 to 106 damage with FS. I had about 30 SDI & 100 eval int.
