Vorpal Bunnies

I remember several years ago when there would be a crowd of people at the cotton field South of Moonglow hunting vorpal bunnies. I see these described on Stratics but are they still around? Did everyone just lose interest or what happened? Thanks.

AFAIK they are still around but the farming of them has pretty much ceased. I too recall watching a tamer unleash a couple of nightmares or wyrms on the critters. Jeez, those blue things were fast!

If ya think you can nail the bugger drop a green thorn in there and see what happens!

They're still around. I killed a few about a month back. Stick a green thorn in a field (best if it's fenced in, otherwise the little turd will get away and never come back), and after a few seconds one will pop up and start running around and taking shots at you. I let my tamer deal with them. I have my pets guard me, then plant a thorn. The bunny will usually hit me first, then my pets pounce on him. According to UO guide, they're suppose to drop colored eggs, but the last ones I killed didn't have a single egg on them. (maybe they changed that?) Loot isn't bad, but far from great. If you're bored and want to farm with a tamer it could be worth it. For a melee char it might be a different story. The effort kinda out weighs the reward IMO.

I remember there used to be quite a crowd at the little, fenced in cotton field below Moonglow. I would kill (I think) with an energy vortex. People would get all the luck they could before doing these. Maybe they downgraded the rewards or maybe people just got bored of them? I'll give it a try when I can get a green thorn. :)

Luck might be the deciding factor on an egg drop. Maybe I'll try a few out with my luck suit on and see what happens.

I have recently done three bunnies inthe past few weeks (That sounds kind of naughty doesn't it? :blushing:) and received 2 colored eggs from the three. They drop approx. 1-1.2k gold, some carrots and low end loot. I feed the carrots to my pony. Little if any luck on this character but I do remember that luck may have something to so with the eggs...

Good luck with the blue furballs.
