Vollem held in crystal tunning

Hello

I am a great fan of those since a long time. I use them mostly with my bard. I'd love to tune them up a little bit without slot jump. Is there anyone with some experiernce? Is there even a possibility to make them even little stronger and keep them 2 slots? It can be some wrest/tact PS, maybe AI, resistance bump etc. Basically - how to tune them without slot jumping?

You cannot "tune" them "easily" without slot jumping. You can just train them skills fully up to grand master (GM) levels without slot jumping.

A skill maxed "full bard" can "boost" them with either the two provocation mastery spell songs or the two peace mastery (+22 for all regeneration types ) ones - that's about all the "tuning" you could do. Two fully (skill) trained Vollems (=> 9 x GM), "boosted" from a 4 x 120 skill bard are quite something!

I am asking because i saw a thread explaining how some warrior type characters are using Vollems with added disco and some other adjustments. I am not much into this animal training but i believe they won't be able to control this things with SOAT or jewelery taming if it jumps to 3 slots. That is suggesting some possible adjustments but where's the border line?

You can't add anything new without adding a slot increase. That is where training points come from.

the vollems they use have been trained and upgraded to 3 slots - they can control them without actual skill because the way they spent the points after the slot increase didn't raise taming requirements beyond a certain threshold.

Take them to TC every day until you get the things you want. Then build it.

There is also another thread here in stratics, of some people that upgraded them, very slowly and carefully, and checked on slot requirements and taming skill requirements.
