Volcanoes Vs. Europe

OK, I rarely vent anywhere (see my # of posts versus member year status). I am SO screwed right now, for those of you who believe in the power of prayer, fingers crossed, salt over the shoulder, etc; ;....

Ok, I was an IT monkey for years till I burned myself out(120 hours a week on average for a software company). I now do travel. I sell escorted tours, we have a LOT of people screwed by the volcano mess in Iceland.

For those of you who know me, have been saved by me, or saved money via my vendor shop or Yew Trading Post when I had my vendor there, I need every single ounce of good will and good vibes that these people will get to go on their tours.

I hope none of you are affected. I hope all of you are well, and for those avoiding this mess, and know me, cross your fingers, toes, lick some bunny feet or anything...I need all the help I can get.

I totally sympathize. My brother-in-law is stranded here in Italy thanks to this whole mess. He needs to get home to his school and job, and may not be able to do so.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I can't imagine what a tough time you're having, dealing with what is no doubt a basketful of very angry customers who blame you for a natural disaster.

I hope the people in Iceland are okay - I don't know how close this volcano is to any towns.

I think the last time this happened the main danger lie with the huge volume of water created by all the melting ice and snow that severely flooded populated areas and even swept a major bridge away.

I hope all goes well with you folks there. Oh, and I no longer blame you guys for Bjork.

My thoughts and prayers go to you and Iceland....Hope the mess over there is settled soon. I know volcano has caused problems all over....Have my fingers crossed, threw salt over my shoulder, didn't step on a crack, walked around the black cat and the ladder, didnt touch or look at mirror(go without makeup for a bit lol) and etc....

Thanks for all the nice thoughts, it made me feel better.

I hope the people in Iceland are ok too, I read about the fluoride clouds and everyone has to stay away from them because they make your teeth fall out and your bones break. Good times huh?

I am hoping to the powers that be that everyone is ok, and that this ends really soon or I think my brain is going to explode.

I have had people asking about their tours at the end of the year and "how this will impact them" . I am having to restrain myself to not say,"Well, you are obviously very into your own little world, so why are you worried, there are only tens of thousands of people stuck right now...let's not worry about them and let me predict what will happen in 7 to 8 months"

If I had those kind of psychic powers, I would be sitting on my own island somewhere in a large pile of cash...BAHAHAHAHHA

Now's the time to push the selling of cruise passages, especially ones that leave US ports for Europe....

Is the Queen Mary 2 doing Atlantic runs? For that matter, did they retire the QE2 when the QM2 came into service, or are both of them active?

I can see those becoming REALLY popular.
