BTW, what makes a member a "visitor" (like me) as opposed to some other title under the name? Is this forum like a game in itself, where you earn different ranks and titles? I read the messages all the time - both to learn and to get a laugh - and post occasionally when I have a question, and I usually get a good answer.

Think it has to do with how many posts you've made. If you make more posts you'll get different titles.

If you go to the FAQ in the menu bar on the screen you are currently looking at, you will see a menu option for "Trophy User Titles." Click on that.

I think there is a bit more to it than the FAQ message says. The number of "Likes" you receive also plays a part and potentially a few other things.

If you click on your name in any forum post, a new gump will pop up. If you then click on "Profile Page", it will take you to your member page. Over on the left is a short summary of your forum activity listing Post Count, Likes, and "Trophy Points". If you click on the Number listed as "Trophy Points", I believe that you can see a list of what you have earned so far, and other potential points that you can earn.

Keep in mind that this list may not be complete due to the way items migrated from the old forum software into the current software.
