Virtue decay way to fast.

Virtues in this game decay way too fast. I worked my compassion to lvl 3 a few weeks ago and now I dont even show lvl 1. What is up with that? Am I supposed to earn this ability with every day gating of prisoners?

Sacrifice is just as bad the decay is high enough that I am considering quiting on these 2 all together!

Virtues decay one bubble a week. There is no way to drop from level 3 compassion to below level 1 in a couple weeks.

It shouldn't drop at all unless used.

It don't decay that fast. I only need to work 1 time a week 30 minutes to maintain all my Virtues at Knight.

Maybe one bubble a day I havent had my compassion up for 30 weeks and Im shafted.

[/ QUOTE ]Maybe if you only have one virtue - namely valor, the others can take quite a bit of time to maintain. Especially compasion, the one that does absolutely nothing for the holder of the title.

compassion alowws you to rez players at 80% life

lvl 1 10%

lvl2 40%

lvl 3 80%

At least thats close. Its a must have for peerless groups or champ spawners

Their irritating to work (usually because you always get the message when your about to do something else), but one bubble per week isn't decaying too fast.

I have 3 virtues at knight (well almost 4 but I am not counting Honor because it doesnt decay unless you use it) and I dont find them hard to maintian at all.

Valor - I visit the shadow wisps in Spirituality even so often for 5 minutes. THis one seems to have the slowest decay rate

Sacrifice - do a few Grizelda quests once a week. I have these down to a science so it only takes 15 minutes per quest (unless I have to make a star chart

)

Compassion - find escorts in Haven once a week (I usually grab them more often than that since I bank there)..

takes barely any time at all!

For sacrifice you can use a quest This i didnt know. Ive been sacrificing my lord title to a paragon succubus and it still seems to decay faster then I play all 7 of my chars to lord

But for compassion I use brave horn in felucia. I have both locations marked and whats more when I gate him over to the hole and I kill him for fast respawns!

Valor I dont have any problem with as I do champ spawns in fel alot and every spawn seem to boost me from nutting to knight!

I didnt know you could get compassion from Bravehorn! I do escorts in Haven because they only ever want to go to places in Haven and since I can't gate, it is a timesaver.

You have to do 2 or 3 Grizelda quests to get a bubble (which is why I only used it for maintainence) But once you get runes and such set up it goes quite fast and no title loss. PLUS she pays pretty well

Other than Honor, virtues do decay way too fast. IMO, no virtue should decay unless it's used.

On that note, why is it that once you get to Knight of Honor, you can still get the "You have gained in Honor" message, yet no matter how many things you kill or how much honor above knight that you get, as soon as you use it you lose a pip? What's the point of gaining if you don't gain anything from it? Both Sacrifice and Compassion have a cap, where once you hit Knight, you can't gain any more and have to wait for decay.

Seems the Virtue system needs a little balance itself, then once that's done, it would be nice to actually have a completed system.....

I agree, and I do not care how fast the bubbles go, what irked me to NOOOO end was having knight for years with no end in sight.

It would have been sweet if after you pass so many years its perma. O' well, I let it go. Compassion. Ha!

She's a witch! (I think)

She is near Yew, south of the woods where the liches spawn. If you stick to the road with the map open you can see the ruins on the map. (for both the lich area and grizzelda)

She's east of the road, I forget what exactly you have to do but it's nothing particularly difficult. You get a cauldrun, a bag of 30 each reagent, a bottle of magical moonfire brew a t map and some magic items. If your drunk when you complete it (usually from having to impersonate a pirate as one part of the quest) you also get grizeldas hangover cure. Oh and 1/3rd of a bubble of sacrifice.

Personally I find it much less bother just to work the fame.

&amp; Yes Bravehorn gives compassion, handy for working it on a dexxer as it's within walking distance.

You can also do Lisbett the flower girl for compassion.

You pick her up at the inn by the Oaks spawn, and walk her to the ruined farm (between Spirit and sacrifice) to her "Grandpa Charley" (Though, if you ask me, it's a bit creepy to escort a young girl to be with a man who lives in a mostly empty shard, whose only companion is a single SHEEP).

Also, at sacrifice gate, there is a bandit spawn about 2 screens to the NW. IT has a prisoner about half the time, and the rescues will now follow through moongates. So, you should be able to make deliveries of that rescue to 8 different cities (Magincia doesn't work, and you can't get to Ocllo without gating, but the others are a short walk).

Rescues, Bravehorn and (I think) Lisbett can be done without 5-minute waiting periods like the others.

Griselda is great if you happen to be a Treasure hunter, or training an alchemist, as she gives you the tools of the trade... Plus, you can skin the imps for spined leather.

When I do them, I squeeze every bit out of them to my own profit (when not making pots, the regs are an easy 240 points at the library per quest done, the maps can be donated after completion, or instead of completion, etc.). I even salvage junk weapons and armor.

If you DO eventually sacrifice your fame, the quest typically puts you near daemons and liches along the way. One method I've done is do quests until I get the pip, THEN sacrifice fame. Seems to work better.

The annoying thing is that the virtues decay even if you are never logged on. At the end of 2006 I had several characters worked up to Knight level in Compassion and Sacrifice. I hardly logged on at all last year and now it is all gone.

I would not mind a faster decay rate if it only decayed while you were logged on. Maybe on the order of one dot decay for every 24 hours of actual play time. Of course that would be a BIG nurf to the AFK bank sitters.

Pffff I'm 4 times Knight of Virtue. 8 if you count both characters.
Takes 3 escorts a week to maintain Knight of Compassion. I do 3 in New Haven, piece of cake.

And if you think rezzing someone with 80% health is nothing then you should not be Virtuous if you only think about yourself

Very easy to maintain.
First i Escort one NPC, Then i run to Spituality shrine to whack 15 shadow wisps. Go back to New Haven for new escort . Then i run to Blood dungeon to Sacrifice my fame. After that i kill 20 Daemons to regain fame to level 3. Then i go back to New Haven To 3rd Escort of the day.I honor the Paragon Daemons in between.

There Maintain 4 Virtues in half a hour a day in a week

Don't tell Frarc whats hard and easy with Virtues.

Actually you do have to wait for her to respawn, which takes about 5 minutes.

I usually head down to the Oaks spawn and kill shadow wisps for bones while I wait for her to respawn.
