Antique just means it loses durability 10x faster.. and can only be powdered 3x..... but just think of the VvV items you use in PvP and I'd say it's going to be a LONG time before I have to replace any armor / jewelry because of durability loss on them. I wouldn't use an ANTIQUE in PvM but I would in PvP.
