Ok, with the SA expansion they added vets to the stables in cities that res your pet for a fee. The other day I was on my bard and my mount died so I went to the vet to res it, it said it would for like 100g or something. I hit accept and it said that my pets spirit lacked cohesion and to try again later? I tried several times over the course of probably 5 minutes, couldn't get it to res it :wall: Are the vets bugged or broken or something? Or is it just me? Thanks!

I have never tried to use the vet rez as I have 110 vet !but I wonder if maybe the pet is not standing in a good rez spot ! kinda like when you want to recall and cant cause something is there! another example is when you try to rez players and they are standing in bad terrain and the move a couple spots and then you can rez them!

just a thought!

That message comes up because there's a delay before the vet will res your pet, roughly 10 mins.

The UO.com playguide page hasn't been updated to reflect it, but Petra's guide will likely help you out here.

The fee does get considerably large when u are trying to rez a 4-5 control slot pet. For people who have been playing forever, it might not be a big deal but if you are just starting out, it does put a dent on your income.

yeah, I just wanted to use it for my mount the other day cause it was only 100g and I didnt feel like getting my tamer on my other account to come rez it :) But yeah usually I just rez them myself.

Most 4-5 slots require high level of taming and lore. If you don't choose to use veterinary with your template than paying the high price at the npc is the trade off.

Honestly I don't know why they added the npc pet resses. I suppose it was easier than adding the ability for legendary vets to make res scrolls for pets...

There were a number of factors taken into account I believe.
The idea is, with a fee to pay and a delay before you can do it finding a friendly player to res the pet is still the better option. The NPC vet is meant to be a last resort when you can't find a player.

Oh vets are fantastic. With my Spell weaver tamer I do not have vet on that tamer since he uses the spell that auto resses pets works most of the time but for the few instances your pet is not near you npc vets are nice to have around.
