You're about 8-9 years late to the party with this one, but better late than never! Is UO in danger of becoming... a MODERN MMO!?

My only criticism thus far is that there's no reason that we shouldn't be allowed to simply buy the item from the search interface. This whole business of having to teleport there and search through the packs and such is a little irritating and hopefully not the end-game design for the whole system.

But all in all, this is a MASSIVE step in the right direction! FINALLY!

Maybe when they add a friends list, the ability to private message people and the capability of messaging your friends cross-shard.

I like the vendor search though because it means I can finally put up a vendor in my Fel house with the things I want to sell at a fair price and know I stand as good of a chance as anyone else in being able to trade as opposed to just wasting my gold on vendor fees. The Luna guys no longer have the monopoly over the market due to the convenience factor and, as such, everyone should now be able to get fair prices for basic stuff that they may otherwise have to pay 50x its true value for just to avoid having to spam general for ages or look for obscure vendors which may not have it.

Agree 99 %. However: If you ask me, it is a good thing to teleport around, because you get back the feeling of depth of this game - of all the different landscapes and spots. And you get the opportunity to meet other people, people not hanging around in luna... So: I really welcome this new mode of traveling: I can see shops, I have never seen before!

I like it, Could use some tweeks. But the basic version is a good start to build from.

Its been a while since I had a vendor. Maybe I will start one again when this vendor search is Live.

Yes, all the different landscapes and spots..... Seeing shops I've never seen before, and revisiting places I haven't been in years... This is going to be the first of two things that revitalize UO... People will get out and about the countryside once again, and it will all be good!

I can't wait for this to go live.... Is anyone having any issues that would preclude a release? I mean, the search criteria tweaks and a couple of category additions will make it pretty solid - but it's 95% done at this point it seems to me... So far I haven't read anything that suggests it's not working pretty much exactly as intended to this point....

We've waited sooooo long for this.... Please make it soon.... I want people on Pac to finally enjoy my secluded beach home - besides me..... Hmmm, I may need to place an Ankh there tho... Or get some sort of reaper patrol going.... I know - I'll put a teleporter to one of my other (safer) houses on the porch and make it public - with a sign behind that says: "Run to Here" on it....

Oh yes, this is going to be so much fun again.... Maybe in a month or so, once they've ironed out the wrinkles in this Vendor Search - they'll do something with the Gypsy Wagon concept that we've been discussing in this thread that started back in June and still continues to this day.... **Spoiler** Don't read it if you're too excitable...
