Vendor question..

Well, I haven't tried anything yet, wanted to ask a question before jumping in.

I got my house built this weekend with your help and advice, and I left a small spot for a couple of vendors. What I remember from back in the day (at least my old mind remembers it), can I setup a vendor so he is sitting in a chair? Do I just sit in the chair an activate the contract?

I honestly don't remember how that works, but I think so!

Yes. Lock a chair down, sit in it and activate the vendor. Sometimes though it will look as if the vendor is under the chair until the screen loads.
