Vendor question

I had a contract for a vendor on another player's house. I had the vendor there for more than a year. Apparently the original owner sold the home. I just went to check my vendor and he's not there. A single click on the house sign only gives me the standard "Vendors" selection.
So I guess I'm scr*wed eh?:rant2:

New owners can reup or quit the contract... same as the old owner could shut you down witha quick click on the renew button and if your not checking your vendors ... your out of luck getting the cash or items they had.
This is a warning and a help aid here as it has a double edge blade attached.
Owner of propertys can at any time deny your reuping of space rental... you have a short timer to catch the vendor or it goes in the house moving crate and then a few days to collect the items from the house sign. Other wise the vendor goes poof and your items become the home owners property.
It's always a good idea to look at your vendors if on another property not your own... sort of a mantence for selling things. Remember its your job to keep track of this.

What about the 4 million that the vendor was holding? Did that fall for the new owner to grab?

When a vendor goes in the house storage box and poofs the whole thing including gold held is the houseowners.
No matter if its 1 gold coin or 1 billion(i think that is a max a vendor can hold )

Well, a GoL member owns the house now... I'll ask about it on the home's bulletin board and see how honest this GoL member really is.

Sence you cant see what or howmuch is in his moving crate there is a good chance your items are still in it. Now I cant say for sure on anyones behalf of honesty ..do give them a chance to clear this up

You used to have two weeks after your vendor falls at someones house to collect your items and or gold from their house sign. Two weeks is plenty of time. While it is unfortunate, you are partly to blame for not checking your vendor in so long.

Hm I'm sure it was only one week after the vendor goes. According to the Stratics vendor page: "A vendor will stay in the house sign for 168 hours; after that time the house owner will be able to access any of the belongings, even if the vendor belongs to someone else."

Also in theory also the old house owner could have terminated the vendor contract, wait until the time was up, collected the stuff from moving crate and then traded the house away.
So it must not always be a matter of the new house owner.

Yep, always been just 1 week for the owner to collect the Vendor's belonging before it became the house owner's.

Oops, what was I thinking? Even at a week though, I cant got 12 hours without checkign my vendor. And when i take breaks, I make sure my vendor cannot fall no matter what or I pull it down.
