Vendor pops under house sign?

I searched and couldn't find any info on why a vendor pops out when a player is shopping at that vendor. Last night, on Alt I was shopping from the house sign and a vendor popped out, the owner had come by and it was the first time he saw it. He was pretty freaked, I understand now how it looked. He came home and found his vendor standing next to me.

It didn't even phase me, since I'm addicted to shopping and experienced this often. The reason for this post is, the owner of the vendor was trying to understand and I couldn't explain anything other than it not being the first time I've seen it.

if you shop off the vendor sign and the vendor is a set distance from you... then the vendor pops to you.

Been happening for years.

If you're the vendor owner and you try to access it's inventory from outside of the house it will also pop out.
