I want to place a vendor but I have no Idea how to maintain it or do any of the many things you have to do by having one? Is there a good detailed forum here anywhere that will help me out?

Something is not clear to me about rental contracts.

The guide says that if a contract expires, all vendor's contents go to the House sign.

Does this mean that the house owner will be allowed to possess the vendor's content even when the vendor owner does not want to (with vendor owner and house owner being 2 separate players...) ?

Basically, what are the risks involved with rental contracts ?

If the contract expires or the vendor runs out of gold it goes to dry dock under the house sign.

The owner has like 144 hours to reclaim his or her vendor inventory and gold.

If that time expires. The house owner gets it all.

Question.
Since the contract can expire for the house owner alone not being willing to renew it, during those 144 hours (6 days) that the contract has expired what happens to the vendor's contents ?

Can it be accessed at any time by the House owner ?

Or is it that during those 6 days the House owner cannot touch the vendor's contents at all even if the contract has expired ?

That is, would the vendor's owner be safe that during those 6 days all of the contents cannot be taken away by the house owner ?

No.

The owner of the vendor has 6 or 7 days to go to the house, click the house sign and select RECLAIM VENDOR INVENTORY.

No one but the owner of the vendor can touch your goods.

Once the 6 or 7 days pass, your out of luck.

I lost 44 million that way on Origin once. I left the shard for atlantic but left up a vendor blah blah.

The vendor house got sold and I missed my time by a day.

I remember placing my first vendor. I thought of Steve Martin in "The Jerk".
"I'm somebody, I'm somebody!"

heh

Let us know how things go, it's always good to hear about things like this.
