Vampire changes??

Last week I took my Sampire out on his first run at Miasma and it went great. When Miasma hit me with poison I would resist it and life leech kept me going.

I try again this week and I'm getting poisoned every other hit and not resisting it. Did something change with the poison resist on Vampiric Embrace, or was last week a lucky fluke?

A fluke; Either you were having a run of good luck one week, bad luck in resisting the second week, or running into a bad streak of really high-skill poisoning Miasma.
