So there's a player who livestreams UO, pvping on Atlantic and Europa on classic client with a ton of cheats running, so much so that the livestream looks like it's coming from one of the freeshards.

I won't name the player or link the livestream due to forum rules.

At first I thought, this is disgraceful, how can someone publicly cheat for weeks and weeks on end?

But now I think fair play to the player for proving a point that people can cheat and do whatever they want and nobody cares.

I found it, and I wouldn't call it a "ton" of cheats. Hes also dead, so yea real good advantage they have.

Don't know what reality you've been living in for the past 15 years but it's been pretty apparent to most everyone I've ever talked to that in pvp cheats go unpunished 99.9% of the time.

The only recent one I can think of devs specifically reacting to was when people were scripting explosion pot throws. Their lack of effort kind of makes sense as not many cheats have been game breaking, usually just makes people harder to kill/chase or you learn to avoid that one combo being spammed.

I'm not sure why you're surprised either, you'll find more people who have at least one cheat/hack program (If not another 2-3 more) running then you will find those who play honestly these days.​

Producers don't really seem to care, nor know much about PvP in general.​

Simply put..it is what it is. If your enemy gets a bigger gun, so do you. Failure to do so will always result in defeat. It may not be pretty..but it is what it is. If PvP is your chosen UO profession, best have thick skin and be prepared. It is a human condition to try and get an upperhand in an agressive scenario, that is why we are where we are on this world's pecking list.

i wouldnt say 99.9% of people run cheats when pvping.
i know i dont.
i know 2 other guys ive played with for years dont.
but thats probably because we are old.
that whole old dog new trick thing.

i always find it funny when someone can sure themselves before i even poison them.
thats some pretty fine tuned cheat programs that can chug a pot before the game even tells you your poisoned.

i recall a fella in general chat complaining no one would come out and fight with him.
i came out, we had a fight, it was obvious he was running some cheats, told him so, left.
then listen to him beg and cry in general for days that there is no one to play with.
what do people think are gonna happen?

all I want to know is why anyone would watch a livestream of UO? lawl...I'm not even concerned if the dude is cheating if people are actually watching...either way that gives me some false sense of hope

Too many children just can't handle getting beat so they make up ridiculous excuses

I don't really understand the policy on cheating. If you're publicly livestreaming it, isn't that as good as calling a gm on yourself? I think it would be a bit harsh if this one player specifically got banned for livestreaming it if others are allowed to cheat without livestreaming.

Are people allowed to cheat?

It would be real easy for the devs to deter cheating by making a mini patch every day. This would be enough to fubber 3rd party programs up daily.

It's not about how good the player is or how good the cheats are its the fact that they still exist and apparently not going to be fixed and probably never have been tackled.

I've watch the livestream to simply see the incredible advantage these players can harness with no consequences.

It seems to me that in all the years of people wanting this and that item after item the fundamentals of the game the physical workings have been left wide open for people to exploit and do whatever they want to and there is no sign of this ever changing. Id have to agree with Lefty if they wanted to fix this im pretty sure they could but that's UO only its players love it and that will never change.

However if there is a Dev who does care and wants to deter cheating i implore them to see the livestream (there are recordings as well) which shows the options these people have.
