Updating Problems

So I just got the 14 day trial and I registered and am set to go so I hit Update because it has to and I get through step one but during step 2 it will Say problems with your internet connections please check your cables etc... when there is not a problem or it just says Update has Failed go to previous screen. I have tried updating multiple times and every time it has failed so i am kinda wasting my trial. Help would be nice.

P.S Can I just download the Updates on a different site?
