Either it's being played about with or it's getting worse, since I just tried again and now it won't recognise my account name and password... at least those worked earlier, even though it then decided not to accept my credit card details it was perfectly happy to take two weeks ago, so maybe this means someone who knows how to make an online store page work worldwide is trying to fix it now? 
Edit : OK, so I guess the producers update that appeared while I was writing this applies...
"They have rebooted the server controlling logins"
So it now accepts my login and password - but still rejects the CC I used there two weeks ago, because

Were this only stopping me getting the booster, I'd just be annoyed and give up - but since this is also where I buy gametime, if this isn't sorted out then it really is a showstopper.
How the hell did someone manage to break a working system and not know how to get it back to functioning again? The only reason there IS an EA corporation so it can be paid money and they have managed to stop even that working right.....
