UOGamecodes, Origin Store, and EA inconsistency

Really losing track what is going on between these two. In the past, the UOHerald accounts page had two sections, new/edit account and a link to UOGamecodes to buy the 'extra' items you might want. Both client splash screens still have a link to UOGamecodes.

The layout of the web page is still the same - Acct Mgmt | Mythic Entertainment | Ultima Online - except the link is now to Origin store, and there is no mention at all of UOGamecodes. Fair enough if that is the replacement - except it isn't.

Origin has gametime codes, HS and SA expansions - and nothing else. Transfers, tokens, deco items, storage increases and so on are still, apparently, only sold through UOGamecodes - and since those products make money, I'd have thought it might be a good idea to let people know where they can buy them at EVERY point where you are trying to sell them stuff. Even if it's a 'transition' to everything being in Origin, you don't delete references to your other store until the whole thing is working on your new one!

Standard EA... left hand, right hand, absolutely zero coordination between the two...

Yeah I noticed this a couple days ago. I always navigated to uogamecodes store via the uoherald link.

I always click it over on the left under Stores. But yea, they need to add the codes to Origin or add UO Gamecodes on that page too. Inconsistency is a big pet peeve of mine.

True - but that just makes it stranger that the Accounts page only mentions Origin store. It suggests that the Herald web people know about both, but for some reason don't think Origin is a 'store' but it sactually part of 'acount management', whilst most of what they claim Origin sells is actually only available from UOGamecodes, which doesn't belong under 'account management', and is a 'store'.

Both are the same - places where you buy stuff to use in UO. Explain clearly about both, and correctly list which sells what... that's all they should be doing!
