UOAssist Butcher's War Cleaver question

I have been trying to set up a macro to cut up corpses with a Butcher's War Cleaver but I am having trouble in getting it to work.

Anyone more experienced at using UOAssist can help ?

What I have been trying to do, is being able to cut up corpses without having to target them.

For example, say that I need to cut up leather, I go to Destard and let the Drakes/Dragons come up to me, I kill them and press the macro without the need to actually have to cut up the corpses.

Sort of like for mining there is the mining for relative location at my feet so, similarly, I am trying to make the macro work so as that pressing it multiple times it will cut up any and all corpses I may have at my feet.

Also, like for mining, I was trying to find a way to have the cut up leather move from my backpack to my feet to avoi getting overweight. For mining I can get it to work but I have been unable to do it when cutting up corpses.

After I record the macro, then I see only 3 options available as in regards to the target :

- reset target
But I do not want this as it would require me to reset the corpse for each and every kill which is precisely what I am trying to avoid

- reset to last target
But this also does not help me since it resets to the last "alive" target I am just fighting and not the corpses at my feet

- set to "target type"
Now, I thought this is the one I wanted but I tried it and it does not work. I get a red message saying it cannot find it.

Besides, I cannot seem to also find a way to move the leather from my backpack onto the ground piling up at my feet.

Anyone has any idea how I can set up this macro ?

I am using the 2D client.

Basically, what I want to get done is set up a macro which, while I keep fighting my targets just keeps cutting up the corpses piling up at my feet and puts the leather into a pile at my feet, on the ground.

Thanks.

To the best of my knowledge uoa is not able to do what you require.

I think you can use target relative location assuming you always stand exactly one tile north or south when you make your macro and then the same position when you use the macro.

I dont know if it will work or not, but it worked for when I want to wall of stone one tile behind me as I am chased between two houses.

relative location will hit what it says, a location. A terrain tile. It won't hit a monster corpse. I've been using that to try to find treasure map spots.

you are right ... the target MUST be selected.

popps - record the macro using the BWC and target something (yourself??) and then hit STOP. In the command window, highlight (click) the target line then click DELETE to the left. This leaves 1 line: use item

when activated this will use the BWC but YOU must click the target ... in effect this is a use last object/wait for target macro. The crosshairs will be onscreen for you.

Thanks, this is how I have been so far doing but it still creates me difficulties.

Problem is, that while I am fighting standing still, the targets come to me and their corpses usually pile up on one another. Yes, if I double click the text the multiple corpses' packs come up but the text line showing is only 1 and if I use the crosshair on that text line I only cut up the same one corpse, not also the other ones stacked up...

Yes, I can use SHFT-CTRL, but that clogs my screen with tons of labels to sort with and, besides, since I am fighting which can involve various actions, having to work the screen to sort out tags to then click them multiple times with the crosshair can be annoying, time consuming and dangerous since I need to pay attention to the fight....

Also, SHFT-CTRL does not keep track of what corpses I have already cut up and which not. So, I am forced to have to target all of them showing up screen, even those already cut up and it gets annoying and a waste of time and attention required in the fighting.

Besides, I still also have the problem of all the leather ending up in my backpack and overweighting me. I need to find a way to have it go to a pile at my feet like I can do for iron ore and wood. But how ?

Anyone got an idea ?

Would using the Enhanced Client help me in any ways ? Are there any macroes which could get me to do what I am trying to achieve ?

My end goal is to be able to simply press a key and have all corpses at my feet be cut up and the leather neatly piled at my feet, on the ground.

This way, I can pay attention and focus on the fighting without having to worry about cutting up corpses, gathering the leather and having to move it from my backpack onto a pile on the ground. The macro would do it for me.

Thanks.

I THINK you can do this in the Enhanced Client by setting object handles to corpses and targeting with Next Object and Nearest Object.

That said, what the heck are you fighting that you have to "pay attention" to gather leather? This sounds way too close to unattended macroing, though I am sure you don't mean it that way.

I will look into the EC and see if I can come up with anything and no, it has nothing to do with unattended macroing at all, simply being able to have my hands and mind free when fighting and not be bothered with also having to open up corpses, cut them up, loot them, move items on the ground not to be overweight and all that.

I want to fight without the anooyance and distraction of having to deal with the left overs.

I want a macro deal with that while I deal with the fighting.

you could use use item select last target in uoa

I tried, unfortunately, rather than targeting the laying down corpse, it tried the "live" target which I am currently fighting.......

Bottom line is, I did not get the leather by selecting last target while fighting at the same time.....

I am still looking for a working solution.

It probably won't be an acceptable solution, but here's what I do. I use 'last object' to find corpses, repeating it will cycle through them, opening them all. When I have as much leather as I know I can hold before it stays in the corpses I use a bag of sending to post it to the bank and when I have too many corpses around my feet for last object to cope I do something really radical
I move 2 or 3 tiles left/right/back/forward.
