UOAM(ALL BLACK)

Okay I'm posting this for Sir Daniel. I guess since I'm playing again he is as well... He's like a damn ball and chain I guess.

Anyways he downloaded UOAM and and it's all black. I heard of others having this problem in the past did anyone ever figure out how to fix this?

heh didnt u quit like 3 times this year too? i think that chain is around all of our ankles

as for uoam i couldnt tell ya, when ever i "quit" uo i never go as far as deleting all the junk of the comp......never

When you start it up cancel the performance setting updates for each map. It will ask you to update four seprate map settings; felluca, trammel, malas, and tokuno. If you just hit cancel instead of update it should work. At least thats what I have to do to get it to work everytime.

Did he patch properly?

That happened to me a few months ago when a patch didn't patch properly. I had to delete and re-install UO to fix it.

Kiwillian's UOC is awesome cant think of anything UOAM can do that it cant (chat I guess, or does it have that too?) Runs awesome, trickiest part is setting up a server for your guild or buddies.

I had that when both our pcs were re-formatted. The solution was to define the path to the maps.
Double click the map so that you get the top menu, click on 'map' and choose 'uo client data files location'. Uncheck 'have UOAM locate client files for you' then put the full path to them into the box. (eg mine is C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Ultima Online 2D Client\ ). Click ok and they should be back.
