UO Videos - Champions, Harrower, etc.

I have worked out a process which I can easily make and upload UO videos of game play. Thus I will be recording lots of various things, mainly PVP fighting most likely, and adding them to the Ultima Online Veoh channel. If you want to check you UO videos it will be the place to go. If you create your own account on Veoh you can add videos to the channel as well. Here is a link:

Here are the first three of the new videos. They may be interesting to some people who might have never seen a champ spawn or Harrower completed. None of these include any PVP, just spawning.

Honestly man I don't know how you can stand using veoh it destroys the quality.

Gametrailers only allows videos up to 100MB.

Several PVP videos have been uploaded to the Ultima Online channel. There is nothing that great, mostly 1 on 1 in Yew. There hasn't been the opportunity to record a big battle yet. It will be soon though.

The Harrower movie was interesting. I've only been on a few champ spawns several years ago. One question: Why did the tamers pull their pets back when the True Harrower first showed up?

Because the Tentacles leech life and pets will die quickly. 40 health lost per tentacle multiplied by 9 tentacles equals 360 health lost every 10 seconds or so.

What is wrong with stealthing the whole way? If the character got attacked by any monsters then it would have died.

Why aren't more people doing spawns? I remember when they were first introduced, it was packed! even at the harrower! I loved it when the reds would raid us blues/trammies, and that we were able to fight back! well only with numbers though. nowadays the spawns are dead! except pvp/red guilds doing them.

and no! I don't wan to see trammel spawns giving out scrolls. that would be boring as hell/

Spawns are now 6 years old, which is longer than half of UO's life. There are tons of scrolls already out there and people don't need them like they used to. At first the 110s were worth something. Then it was the 115s. But now half the 120s are hardly worth the trouble. Spawns have been done thousands of times and haven't changed. Even Harrowers don't even draw people. Five years ago if someone said there was a Harrower up, people would login to UO just to go. Now you can't even pull people away from Yew fighting to come.

And this is what UO group fights currently revolve around.

Sorry to say, but update your damned computer. Your rig must suck horribly if you can't record a decent framerate for UO2D on that machine you have.

I wish EA would implement some new spawns/quests that will drop something else besides scrolls, like introduce new artifacts or whatever. all taking place in felluca ONLY. but then again the population in uo has greatly diminished in the last 5 years and it'll be hard to find players willing to participate. Everyone seems to have defected to WoW. I've yet to try that game.

It is an issue with the recorder, not the computer. I am trying to work it out.

I will just go by today's number because it is easier. You are not adding our Faction guild.

Syndicate - 348
HOT has 311 + HEAT has 40 = 351

We may not be on top every single day, but we are consistently beating LLTS for member count now.

HOT has over 200 actual members. At least 50 could be considered very active UO players.

Unfortunatly by throwing in numbers from the faction guild, your opening up a big can of worms as far as guild size goes. Who is to say that guild number 3 or 4 on the list doesn't have a large number of people in their faction guild, plus additional people in a starter guild for new people to play in before joining the main guild.

You can say that you have the largest Fel based guild in the game and have been for a while.

If you are the largest guild in UO why do you need bag balls on the other side of a load point? Its not like you dont already have 20 or so necros ready to witherspam anyone thats going to come thru the gate. Gotta love the exploits in this game that are officially deemed "features". Aside from a very few harrowers that ive seen that were even numbered with multiple guilds, the pvp at harrowers is generaly **** poor because of tactics like this. Im all for big guild fights but this iharrower is hardly pvp.

How ironic that this is brought up by H0T being on the top 10 guilds in size, when the only guild beating them is The Syndicate. The guild that invented the concept of forcing your members to put all characters on their account into the guild to inflate their numbers. I am by no means defending H0T, but if your proposed change were implemented, The Syndicate would instantly fall out of the top 10, if not the top 100 or top 1000.

Not only that but they advertise all over the place for new members. HOT Guild has never put done that.
