UO Parady Songs

And now for something a bit different...

Awhile back someone posted the link to Midas' Ultima Parady Songs, http://www.digiphobia.com/ultimasongs/html/songs.html. I'd never heard them back in 2000-2001, but now I sure enjoy listening to the bits on the site. I would have loved to get the whole CD. I am curious if any knows if Midas still plays, UO or in his band Mainframe. It's sad to lose the classics like the parody songs, Ima Newbie, etc.

Midas still does music stuff, but he hasn't played UO in a while. I've stayed in relative touch with him on what was originally a splinter board from the UHall way back in 2000 until just recently.

I remember him saying that he every so often still gets orders for his CD, so if there's a contact option, try it out, you never know.

Midas stopped playing a little after AoS I believe (UO songs at least). I've had there CD since they first offered it almost.

But be warned, I tried to order 3 more maybe a little over a year ago for some friends. And I never received the CDs =(

Thanks guys! Glad to hear he's still making music, but sorry to hear about ordering. I saw the PayPal option, but didn't want to try it so long after the CD was released. I did try the email on the site, but it came back undeliverable. What a great gift it would be for a UO friend, Derium.

I wonder if anyone ever saved that ALBE comics flash video they did for Message in a Bottle.

yeah it's perfect for anyone you know who has played UO! And I'm not mad about not getting the CDs, just sad because I hate to see such a great band no longer offer them you know? I bet if they did make more and post on stratics about it, they would still make enough money to be worth their time

As a side note, you reminded me of a flash video where someone had it running to the song Bitter Sweet Sympathy, but they changed the lyrics (was words in the video), it was about a UO vet talking to a new player about how times had changed and the vet was mourning the loss of the olden day, ARG! soooo good! but I've tried and tried to find it and can't =(

Thanks Dermott, would be great if you ever meet up and remember toost it here. I'm sure we're not the only ones who enjoy that music. And maybe there is someone out there who saved the flash videos you both spoke of.

Agree that a new CD would be well received, but even re-releasing the originals (I think they had 2?) to those of us who missed it would be wonderful.

That video was hilarious! I've looked everywhere for it
and have not been able to find it. IIRC, there were a few
more videos to other songs he did as well.

I think if they repushed their old CD as is, it would work out well for them. Hell, I'd even like to buy the rights from them and market it myself on here haha.

It would be awesome if Midas would give us permission to distribute the songs as MP3s. Maybe then I could convince the management here to let me upload all the mp3s that I ripped from my CD and put links for them here so everyone can enjoy them. But without permission then it would be copyright infringement.
