Two to three months per an asset/creature? That seems kind of crazy. I mean, if you made a new robe, for example, and just added details, I would assume you could do that in a couple of weeks. I wonder how long the still unfinished Staff of Pyros took to make! ;P
Also, regarding werewolves, I wonder if Grimm was around to help design

Yea, the timeline varies a great deal depending on what else is getting worked on at the same time, but generally 2 months is the average. It's not so crazy when you think of the time it takes to complete concepting, modeling, texturing, rigging, animations, rendering, generate/ edit all the support files - some of those things have several iterations, then there's bug fixing.
