[UO Herald] Publish to Origin today

Greetings,

We have a Publish to Origin today at 2.00pm that addresses the following:

• Runes for decayed or otherwise destroyed ships will now reset when they are attempted to be used.
• Players will now receive keys for legacy ships instead of runes
• Dry-docked ships should now leave the world correctly.
• The harbormaster now only gives a rune for the ship owned by the character instead of for all ships owned by that account.
• Ships should now hue correctly based on type

AWESOME, now we can leave our fishing boats safely and not worry
every day if the rune works or not. Shame about all those that have not
been found though.

I know the GM's have helped us a lot in that area.

Just got logged back into account today

Speaking of ships, I have the key in my bank, but Sacred Journey on it comes back with "The ship could not be located."

No coords when I mouse over key, only "A Ship Key



Does that mean drydock or blank key ?

There is no mention in this list of fixes about a fix to the lost ship problem. Use caution if you get very upset when you lose your ship and all that's on it.

just stop picking new stuff up, ya pack rat ;P

i really hope this publish fixes ship runes, very annoying to have to use a rowboat to find your ship after a few fishing quests, haha. i downgraded from four ships to two ships because of the bug...i'm a bit of a sea pack rat ;D

I think it has to be this one:

Runes for decayed or otherwise destroyed ships will now reset when they are attempted to be used.

It's not 100% clear though. I assume the problem had to do with a decayed (over time) or destroyed ship losing position somehow, and a rune becoming defunct.

I just log my fisher out on my ship every night and I don't have to worry if the rune works or not. It has always worked when I recall to unload my boat...

It is a sad day when UO players complain about there being bug fixes. Not about unclear patch/publish notes, not about a bug that didn't fix the problem, but about a bug fix being done at all.
