Greetings!

We are excited to present High Seas Beta to everyone on the High Seas Test Center. For the duration of Open Beta TC1 will be closed down. Stratics was nice enough to give us a dedicated forum and I have divided it up into different topics for everyone. Please post your issues/comments in the appropriate thread. The installers can be found here:

Install Enhanced Client beta, do not run patcher yet!
Copy *.uop files from previous Enhanced Client to new location
Run beta client and download less than 100Mb patch.

This save you 1.8Gb traffic and lot of time.

You may stop patch, copy UOP files not downloaded yet, run patcher again to continue.

Where are you getting this patch? I open uo and get no patch, try to log into the TC and it just freezes at the screen saying I logged in but I see nothing.

You must use the beta client to log in to the test shard. the normal client will not work there.

Couple of quick questions:

Has anyone found a way to make the beta client work with UOA? I tried and failed and had no desire to escalate that to the "tried and broke stuff" level.

If you are not playing with the assist of UOA, how many of you are playing in the EC and how are you liking that?

Do I have enough time to make it worth my while to put a mod on the EC version and run around on that?

Okay, excited that the beta is here. Where are the player run docks? Where is my eye patch? These are a big part of what I've been waiting for. When are we going to see these things?
