11/6/2024 Greetings, We are pleased to announce that Publish 118.2 will be coming to Test Center 1! We anticipate updating Test Center 1 tomorrow, November 7th. Publish 118.2 includes the second phase of Echoes of the Blighted Realm: Shattered Sanctum. Also included are updates to the Huntmaster’s Challenge, and the Artisan Festival. Going to copy these guys to Test when the potion is available to find out

I heard someone today say that they are changing things a bit so that treasure hunters were guaranteed drops from the manifestation and that shadow hounds would spawn with T-chests too. I didn't see that in the publish notes so wasn't sure if that was somewhere else or if maybe they were mistaken?

The new leg armor is pretty insane. I guess we're way too far along with power creep to back down at this point, so guess it shouldn't be a big surprise anymore.

Is the Vortha Medallion a Talisman slot item?

Might be the best rewards list for any of these events - lots of popular items are returning plus alot of great new items. Hopefully this event will go on for atleast two to three months and there will be ample time to get event drops.

Damn. So we are getting a 2 slot to -> 5 slot Rideable pet with Life leech and no negative abilities (time to sell my Ossein Ram I guess), and like 20+ new and returning event drops that are almost all between good to best in slot?

Some of which should be stealables, so thieves feel useful. + they are letting t-hunters get drops for the ongoing event.

There's also the usual new artisan/hunting stuff, new deco, holiday gifts, new store items, return of the ankh teleporter, the current event items + pets, NL stuff. upcoming Krampus, etc.

I'm sure people will find a way to complain, and will be upset about bots or that there isn't a new 250 luck mask or whatever, but damn.

Yea as far as a reward list goes, this one is jam packed with stuff that is almost all worthwhile. Personally I wish they would have spread it out and released some of the stuff earlier this year with the pirate hat event so there wasn't such a large list but as long as they can keep the spawn rate / bot problem under control (ie people are able to get enough drops from playing) then I'm good with it.

Doesn't look like anything new with Krampus again this year which made him harder to spawn last year (less people felt the need to do trade runs) and if the event is running during Krampus might take away from it even more...but it will be interesting running a trade order through an invaded town

would that not mean that if the vanity pet is brand new and still in the statuette form that you will be able to convert it into a ethy version?

ya, i was right, that is exactly what it does.
you buy the vanity mount and the orb and you can make the new vanity pet into a ethy.
kinda cool actually, because there is no year restrictions on them like the real ethys.

About this really nice paladin sword (deathforged claymore):

As SSI is capped at 60 you can only swing it every 2 secs at 210 stamina according to knuckleheads. Not sure if stamina is capped too, but you would need 330 stamina to swing it at 1.25 secs.

It will be more of a collector item I think.

Looks like in the Invasion Town chests, there's a chance for a new stealable item!

Just a note on the Vortha Medallion. While the gargoyle version can get POFed as it is neck armor, the human/elf version cannot, as it is a necklace thus follwing the no-POFing rules of jewels. I think many want to substitute it for the pendant of the magi, which does not have durability. I suggest to get a few extra medallions or stick to the pendant.

I believe the Manifestation (and the mares / Grimms etc) go until November 30th so I'm not really expecting them to drop in the 118.2 stuff until that's all finished which would put it at a Dec 1 release at the earliest is that is the case but that's a Sunday so it's really more likely to be like December 3rd. Just a guess though.

My rounds include Britain, Skara, Yew, and moon glow farms.

there’s a small patch in delucia but I haven’t seen a grim spawn there yet.

Britain, Skara Brae, Moonglow, Yew, Haven and Ocllo

Cove will have one at the beginning of the day after server up but doesn't spawn there the rest of the day (same with the wheat pen on Moonglow on the west side)

Yew ... make sure to check next to the winery. they spawn with the grapes

Can also use the fel side for Grimms. You can just recall away if you see someone. Atl may have some pks.
Im not thrilled they turned off Butchers. Cant carve the pumpkins. I found one in Fel Cove a few nights ago.

Does anyone know what level detect hidden is required to reveal the hidden chests in towns? I assume a simple reveal spell won't cut it. I'm currently working on my detect hidden in anticipation for this event but unsure if I need to GM it.
