This is a reminder that we will be bringing the Atlantic shard offline tomorrow, December 4th, at 5:00 am EST (10:00 GMT) for a hardware upgrade.

At this time we anticipate that the shard will be back online no later than 10:00 am EST (15:00 GMT).

Seems the RSS feed can't catch when EA just 'update' their news rather than post a whole new article -

And this hardware upgrade also brought a new IP address in a pretty unusual new IP range belonging to amazon webservices:

107.23.95.234 Atlantic (#0)

I have no clue whether this is a permanent change or just something "experimental" by the devs / EA network guys...

Been links between the two for a while ( [ProjectRYG 2.0] EA Origin Analysed may be of interest ), I'm not sure if it pre-dates EA buying PlayFish who I think entirely used AWS , or it's something EA have adopted since then. Would be intriguing if they are planning to migrate servers out of their own direct control though.
