Re: restoring original hue to artifacts... Why not just a "swap box" like the seeds box. Drop in a tangle, get a freshly spawned tangle in your pack with original hue... Seems simple enough to me.
If we had one standard way that artifacts were created this would be a simple solution, the unfortunate truth is, however, that all artifacts are not created equally. Over the years a variety of ways of creating artifacts have been utilized and as a result the simple switcheroo becomes a lot less simple very quickly. You also run into issues with further customization of artifacts. Being that we don't store the original hue of the item after it has been changed on the item itself, the task rapidly gets intensive.
