I used CC on Surface Pro 2 during my vacation. Aside from the fact, that all is small, and the eyes are not getting better I could at least perform all the tasks I wanted.

Don't see why it wouldn't work with mouse and keyboard. It just basically an ultra book afterall.

Yes, a mouse is mandatory ... the touchpad does not do the job.
