Unused Keep Areas ... wtf??

I have a Keep and was wondering if there is any way to access those unused grassy areas on the ground floor? seems like such a waste of space.

You can logout on a character above it, have another one place a house addon where you where standing, then login again. You should appear below and be able to mark a rune down there.

or i believe ... you can stand over them, cast energy field on yourself .. log out, and you should be standing in the area when you relog

works going up or down in a multitude of areas

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried both but nada. My character just reappears in the field or on the add on. I did try several add ons and bits of furniture with the same result each time.

Can't believe they designed the Keep with wasted space.

Any other suggestions in accessing these unused areas most welcome.

you're not supposed to go down there. They've been removing all the z axis methods for a while. very few remain. Regardless, You can't use that space.

dont c y not make the area permantly grass or snow same with caslte then u can use all the space between ur walls

althou then that would mess up castles that have trees in courtyard...

I don't care remove the trees and make it so you have to have it clear to place from now on... but I want to be able to control and use those areas...

Long overdue is a change to Castles and Keeps.

I dont have a keep so i don't know if this would work but maybe try placing a spring cleaning mousehole on the wall going into the grassy area then turn into a mouse with ninjitsu animal form and try to go through it. If that worked maybe you could mark a rune then deed the mousehole? I dunno could work maybe....

Try placing a trash barrel and don't move, then log out and back in.

still scratching my head why they designed keeps with these inaccessible grass areas -- the space could have been used so much more effectively. Would be fantastic if we could convert them to customizable.

guess it shall really stay in the walls til it decides to decay ... of course after three years i was hoping to move it from the edge of the grass to the center but .... ah well ...

If you want it bad enough you can still do it... With my keep I moved everything out of it, set an item like a dye tub or rune or pile of gold above each of the three areas, then dropped the keep, marked my runes, and replaced the keep. It was a pain, but now I have a rune for each of the three areas.

If you decide this is worth the hassle... be sure to check that your keep is "properly placed" before you drop it, that way you know you will still be able to place it again after marking your runes.

I marked runes years ago, when you could use the energy field to drop down ... just lost in the mess that is the keep atm heh ...

and I would be way to nervous to try that ... my keep is a bit schizophrenic ... one day, and hell for weeks/months it will be 'Properly Placed', then I will check it and for a few weeks/month/maybe day, it jumps back to 'Improperly Placed' ...

I figure as long as it has yet to crumble around me, I should leave 'er be. ;-)

Yes it is a sad waste of space for a keep, I also wish the grassy part in a castle was part of the castle, wouldnt that be nice?!?! a customizable courtyard!!

Anyways as far as keeps goes i seen an awesome keep on GL in the desert west of brit crossroads that has those areas all decked out and has a custom yard but that is an OLD keep that was GM or counselor decorated back in the day.

I had a rune to my friends house. He knocked down a couple houses and put up a keep. The rune to the old house was in one of the green areas and I could recall in for a while but it has been blocked for a while now.
