Be careful. I dyed an uninsured half apron with natural plant dye and it is no longer insurable...Hate for someone to lose their crimson. I submitted it to uobugs already.

Come to think of it I dyed it with red and then plain natural.

Try to sell the apron to a tailor or put it on a vendor and see if it has any value. If it sells for 0 gold on vendor or cant be sold to NPC tailor it's a newbiefied half apron, you could be forgetting that. Otherwise, if it shows a maker's mark/exceptional tag, which isn't visible in your pic, then perhaps it is a bug.
