Where were those people on the boards then?

I can't even remember if the UO.com boards were still up at that point or if it was only Stratics.

But either way I recall not a single complaint.

I was very surprised, because while I had not noticed a great amount of participation, I'd noticed enough that I'd expected at least some complaints.

Hey I just repeated your words. I could careless about order chaos however people do want it and a lot never wanted it to end, your making it out to sound like no one ever wanted order chaos. People like you ruin the game for some people. Who cares if people want order chaos, who are you to tell them no stfu or some other equally stupid thing?

Factions should have been redone regardless, ages ago. When people started getting 50 million points a kill would have been prime time for a revamp. No wait we can't do that to many cry baby idiots would have some kind of fit meanwhile the only reason they do it is to up their freaking post count on stratics.

I agree with the sum of your post, of course you only quoted one of his posts, his original post said something like
"I am surprised to see such fond memories of order/Chaos" I don't think he was saying it shouldn't be put in, or that it sucked or for anyone to stfu about it, only bad comments where in response to a seeming "insult"

MyUO forums shut down 1 month after Age of Shadows release, March 2003.

Order/Chaos was removed when they revamped the guild system for Samurai Empire, November 2004.

The revamp for factions wasn't even about factions it was more about the hardcore pvper rolling into the faction bases wiping everyone out who was guarding the bases. Bases should not be hard to guard only be a little hard to raid. Factions should be about strategy planning what your moves are on both sides.
That is what factions should be about not lets just wipe them out and take the sigils why even have factions if that is the case.

New COM base looks ok, seen no complaints about it. Now if they did that with the other bases to me that would be ok. ( still looking for that water valve to fill the COM base full of water)

It would take an awful lot of work to take my comments as saying something negative about Order/Chaos as a system. A task a surprising many seem willing to undertake. (And yes, two "a surprising many" to me.)

Several months shy of seven years, and the game was old even then.

Damn. If EA were smart they would keep UO fully funded as a trophy prize.

All Factioners are PvPers by definition (though some do not understand themselves as such), but not all PvPers in Factions are Factioners.

Actually, I'm quite happy with factions as they are.

They should just fix that bug that allows you to be in multiple factions on one account.
