Tython is the ancient home world of the Jedi Order. Although it is at large, vastly unexplored territory, it was comprised of a lush forest accentuated with a soft pink hue in its sky. It is said that this is where the discovery of the force was studied. The discovery attracted all types of scholars, philosophers and professionals who came to share their thinking on what they described as Ashla. Ashla or ‘the light side of the force’ as it is more commonly known was perused to great lengths on Tython giving way to the very first force users namely called the Jedi in the known galaxy.
While studying ‘the force’ on Tython, many came to the belief that its powers were only restricted to Tython, where if they left the planet they would lose their abilities. Eventually when a group left Tython to help liberate other worlds they discovered it was not the case and became the first Jedi Knights. However, before all this they founded a school on the planet of Ossus were study into Ashla and the Bogan arose, therefore defining the light side and the dark side of the force.
Dissidents who wanted to use the force for themselves began the Force wars on Tython between the Ashla and the Bogan. This led to the combat skills the force wielders came to have and began initiation ceremonies called the ‘Jedi Forge’. The Jedi forge was the use of the force being channel into blades, inevitably when the need called, the invention of the common lightsaber. It is said because of the Force wars that Jedi left for the planet of Caamas whose people; the caamasi possessed a great nature of peace and compassion from which they learned to control their emotions.
Before the Great Galactic war began, another event occurred called the ‘Great Hunt’ in 3,994 BBY. This hunt saw the elimination of the fearsome terentateks, a creature who were drawn to the blood of those who were force-sensitive. When the Great Galactic war began, the Sith Empire and Galactic Republic when through a time of great turmoil and chaos. Unfortunately for the Galactic Republic, the Jedi were ousted from the Sacking of Coruscant and retreated to their Ancient home world o Tython to begin rebuilding while going into a time of meditation, seeking clarity from the force.
When they began to rebuild the maintained that they would keep out of any affairs that arose with the local populace of Tython. This included a group of assailants called ‘flesh warriors’ who terrorised the local population. Pleading to the Jedi for help, the Jedi refused to help them, as the Cold War had begun. The Jedi wanted time and peace to think clearly on how to repel the Sith Empire from further grip over the galaxy.
