typical Syndicate behavior?

So there is this guild called the Syndicate that likes to drop books all over the place and in the books it says,

*We are Mature, Team Focused, Friendly and Professional.

*We do not allow kiddies, morons or jerks as members.


So around 2 months ago I went to the Syndicate Castle on crafters day and asked if anyone sells runebooks with stuckspots and other strange locations.

Basically someone named Umeko said she would sell me some for 20k after the event but then jacked up the price to 45k so I declined.


So here I am 2 months later walking around on the deserted syndicate island when I see someone named yuki in one of the open houses....I walk up to say hi and *BAM* instanty banned as soon as I make my first step onto the house.


Anyways, I click on the house sign and see it says Umekos house and it all makes sense but it made me start wondering....Is this typical Syndicate behavior?
I've noticed the Anti Syndicate books being dropped all over the place but never knew what to think of them but now I understand.

cant help you with your LLTS probem , allthough i have to say never had any run ins with them


as for the runes check out winterbreeze Libray , i have loads of those runes out on the floor

As a general FYI to the UO community, there is a "Contact Us" form off www.LLTS.org that does get checked on a daily basis and any issues raised there do get investigated and addressed.

Thank you for sharing those incidents. Umeko is a member of The Syndicate and she also happens to be one of the most "community" focused people on Atlantic shard. I would encourage you to PM an email address to me that I can pass to her to open some dialogue to resolve the tension. Reviewing your descriptions of the issues I can clearly see why you would be concerned and bothered by how things occurred. I can also come up with several logical reasons why those situations occurred. The house banning one, for example, could have been that you showed up at the house during a recent remodeling where her possessions were perhaps strewn across the floor unsecured. I think in that circumstance pretty much anyone would ban an unknown person from their house until they had things secured.

Knowing Umeko has a extreme focus on community, I think she would be very interested in chatting with you to amend perceptions and hopefully build a future friendship.

The biggest problem I see if people getting upset enough to report someone for banning them from their house, are you serious? Its her house and I do believe she is allowed to decide who she wants in it, stop being a carebear.

I'm VERY upset, I would make a carebear look like a slug. She had no right to ban him from her house and leave him there in the dark about what he did to deserve it, turn the freakin house private if you're going to be a *censored*
