Twisted Weald and Irk

My stealth tamer has been working up taming gains on cu sidhe in the TW and noticed something unusual the other night. I'm wondering if what I saw is a rare occurrence or pretty commonplace.

I was busy trying to tame an angry cu in the grassy glade part of the Weald near the Twaulo altar when all of a sudden Irk appears. I quickly hid and watched, fascinated, as Irk was slowly but surely killed by a swarm of pixies.

Just curious if Irk appears in that part of the TW regularly or not. I've probably been there about 30 times recently and this was the first time I've ever seen Irk there.

Irk only appears in the pixie area if someone runs from the swamp through the desert with Irk hot on their tail.

I've seen Irk go to the grassy part of the weald in three different ways.

1. What Tazar said.
2. When fighting Irk near the keying altar, Irk has a very (VERY) small chance of teleporting to the champ spawn area.
3. I've had Irk spawn there once. I'm pretty sure it was a fluke or an outside influence, since I didn't see Irk spawn there. But I was alone in the weald and found Irk there when I was leaving.

No no no lol. I have seen Irk teleport over the rock wall into the desert area, from near where the named spiders spawn to the first part of the desert near the grass. I have had it happen to me. Somehow there must be a tiny break in the rocks and Irk is able to teleport through to you. It's not very fun when your trying to get a satyr or something lol. I have only had it happen a few times but it can happen for sure.

From 1 to 2 it has happened to me. Along that area anyway.

Thanks everyone for your responses. In my case, Irk must have used the teleport option. As far as I could tell no one else was in the Weald and I'd seen him down below the rocks near the spiders a few minutes before the encounter near the altar.

Yeah, it's a pain in the hiney when he teleports over and you're trying to run through that deep sand....
