...Mondain's Legacy Minor Arties. Like Brightsight Lenses, Rune Blades, Fey Leggings, Cavorting Club, etc.?

This would clean out a bit of storage for many. I see these items selling for $5k or less. These are mainly being sold as house decorations at these prices! Currently, it is a sad fate for these hard-to-acquire items. By awarding them significant turn-in values, people would be encouraged to hunt again in Malas and ML areas. People would be encouraged to Treasure Hunt. Plus account upgrades would be necessary to acquire these minor arties. Perhaps we could make various Dyes available as the reward? Just an idea. Thank you.

In addition we need a clean up brit.
Coincide with the changing of current drops to new items.

clean up britania, if i remember right, is where people got things like the pheonix armor and other stuff for aquiring points for tossing random stuff into trash cans, this was before uo had a good way of cleaning its self,a nd there was tons of junk everywhere that people needed to get rid of...

This is a very good idea. Just last night I was filling up a chest with what I consider useless arties and storing them in the loft of my home in Malas. The only ML arties that are worth anything are the Fey Leggins, Totem of the Void, and SoulSeeker. The rest of the arties are absolutley worthless.

Now I was putting them in a chest for storage. Why I was putting them in a chest for storage I don't know. Oh Yeah their arties... that's why. It really is a shame that there are so many arties with such little value and people hold onto them for whatever reason. One doesn't want to throw away items that we're bestowed upon oneself for valor in combat despite them being absolutelty worthless.

If they really want to introduce a clean up then this should be given some consideration. Great idea.

there will be some kind of a turn in because I went through all my houses and chucked everything that was worthless now. So because I did that my luck dictates that something will come of it and there will be a turn in. Just another way for the rest of you to get rich for no reason.

I almost agree with this post in its entirety.

Trev, you forgot the old town stealables on your list like iron wire, horseshoes, toolkits, etc. Also, the Dojo stealables. These should also be turned in. On the other hand, I am not sure anniversary items you get off the tokens should be turned in, or used soulstone fragments.

Also, I think it is important to add new things to the findables list when you add a turn-in, as Raven suggested. This helps balance the old vs new players.

For example, if you add a turn-in for Ilshenar mArties, you should also update the mArty list. New players would have the same chance as old players to get the new stuff.

I think these are all called "item sinks". Not sure if that term has been used, yet. There is enough old stuff lying around that you don't have to keep adding new stuff that will just accumulate. You also want to turn-in as you go, rather than a quest for a large number.

Wands, too, are another thing that could use a turn-in, if you do the treasure chests at all. People also want to turn-in used t-maps, but I think the museum guy should just accept the tattered wall maps.

Yeah, clean up brit was a consolation for a major system overhaul. Back then there were no lock downs or secure containers, so you could have as much stuff as you literally could cram into your home and some people just had absurd amounts of stuff and you would crash when you walked by thier homes.

So since they were vastly lowering the amount of stuff people could have by going to the limited lock down/secure container system they gave people an option to turn in all the loot they would loose for rare items such as phoenix armor (blessed orange ringmail) monster statues (which were at that time new) item bless deeds, and neon hair/beard dyes.

I really don't think that theres a reason for that sort of thing now, other than people want ubers for their junk. Which is hardly a reason.

Kaleb. Your thread is already plenty active. Why post that drivel here? Items DO break. I lost a very nice arms and gloves due to breakage the other day. *kicks self*. It happens if you don't remember to repair.

I like the sound of Clean up Britannia. I think having the option to turn in certain items, like arties or event specific rewards is better than having an almost free-for-all turn-in.

Really agree with this... I like the idea of turning things in for other things. Especially with some of the minor artifacts! It would be nice to have the option to turn in a bunch of marties that you have no need for to gain something that you may possibly want. I know there is the option to just throw things away... but being a packrat at heart it would be nice to see a permanent turn in location that may have different rewards.

Have Fun!!!
