Triton, is this one worth the effort?

That's the best one i got so far and was wondering if it was worth my time/money or if this build is just too weak to be effective. I dont feel like training another Chiv/Ai pet so that's the best i could think of. Ideas and suggestions are welcome

May I ask why you are applying a 115 Healing Powerscroll and not a 120 ?

On a pet with an innate self-healing ability, wouldn't it be preferable to max out to 120 this special ability it got ?

I think I saw somewhere that the differences between 115 and 120 isn't a huge difference in effect so the OP might have been using those points elsewhere if they couldn't afford/get a 120 healing scroll. Could be wrong here but just a guess.

Problem is that being that triton not a premium pet, its a 63ish intensity, you have to make some compromises. Dps wise you should be 2-3 points far from cap with 115 in anatomy and tactics and being my toon a bard/tamer with veterinary i dont really mind the 115 in healing. Im just trying to understand if 70% intensity is really mandatory to have a triton which is actually effective with the build Chiv/Ai/FWW

I wont be home till later. But I can see that you should trade stam regen for Mana regen. Mana regen 30 is a must with Chivalry.

I like that 153 dex model.

Maybe @Khyro can let us know if the Ninja needs to be 120 for FWW to do more damage. But it says it is based on the Ninja value. So do not lower that unless he says you can.

You need to have at least 5 stam regen.

Yours would make a full blown AI Chiv model.

I Would wait until you get a higher % one to make a 2 magic model. Thats what I will do. There are plenty of beacons to kill.

You need an AI/Chiv and a few 2 magic varieties. You dont need to have just 1.

Thats a good question. 120 healing scrolls are not that expensive. But if you are like me and do not discord the pet while training, you will not get past 110 healing.

The point difference is nil so you should go with a 120 healing if you have one unless you are sure your pet will not be doscoed while training. (ever)

Your pet is short 100 points I would do more beacons and buy a new one and make that a Beastly AI/Chiv.

Both are acceptable to me. I would lower stamina regen, mana, and tactics to get 30MR personally. Easy places to make compromises on a Triton:

• Stamina Regen to 5 or 6
• Tactics to 110
• Intelligence between 300-350
• Mana to 400

If a 19% Triton can do it, any Triton can do it. The damage difference between 110 and 120 Tactics is very minimal and saves a lot of training points. Yes, you may have to make compromises with a lower rated Triton, but how many other pets can get Chiv/Ai/FWW, full 120s, and still have full regens, and 650+ Hits?

Im sure this has been discussed before but does Chiv + FWW really make for the best combo if the pets are casting EoO and you are fighting a mix of monsters? Like if you are on the 3rd/4th level of a champ spawn and your pet is surrounded; it's going to be a mix of monsters which would have half of them doing double damage to your pet.

Is the logic that EoO would cause the FWW to also do more damage and since the pet has 600+ HP (plus healing) that it could take that extra damage to output more damage itself to mobs?

To make a beastly Chiv/Ai I would only care about having wrestling as close as possible to the cap and consider a high resisting spells a yummy eye candy. This pet has plenty of room even at the lowest intensity to make that kind of build but I'm honestly incredibly happy with my PPWW and, not being a gold machine, I wanna invest my time/gold in building something newer

I petted my Lucky Llama and Got this one today. I have my AI/FWW/Chiv one now. I like the lower dex. I move slow I dont want my pet wandering off after stuff at spawns at high speed.

So far I would say, yes it is worth it. I'm currently training it up from level 2 to 3 at the crazed mage. I dragged an EV in by mistake, but it is training fine with the crazed mage and EV while I run consume and a few greater heals. Pretty remarkable for a 2 slot pet.

That is purely due to the ev being 100% energy damage and the triton having up to 90 energy resist.

Mine took an hour for first 100%. Mage for most and then moved to an EV because one came by and aggroed me and others were waiting for mage. Was on the power hour. The last 25s took a while and I used 4 diff mob types.

I wanted to but I saw a beacon and couldn't resist... I'm still looking for better ones so I can convert a 2 magic one to an AI/Chiv. So I'm not training now.

That is him. I will do one more whisper cycle and he should have over 100 Chiv! Then Ill take him out to fight stuff. Took it to Travesty last night. It was aggroed and did well.

I liked the idea of ai/chiv/feint. How did that one work out? I'd really like one with high wrestling.

I couldn't stand it anymore! I am at Navrey with it. Just the spider and my pet. I brought my main in case it needs some heals. I am running nothing. The Triton will slowly get to about 60% HP and then The HP will go UP! Right now the damn thing is at full HP and tanking Navrey. For a while only dropping to 75% HP and then going up.

Healing is just 98. Now its dropped to 40%. Ill let it keep going.



It dropped to 20% Hp so I gave it heals up to 70% and now it staying at 70%. It will take the most HP dips when it is poisoned but not at every poison.

It dropped to about 50 and while typing it was webbed away.

Now it is here:


Darn got webbed so back at 100%.

Now Navrey is pissed so it took it to 50% and Triton went up to 75%. Ugh webbed

She went and found him so now we are here:


Navrey used her last 2000 HP to try to win.

Id say a pretty damn good pet so far. He went to full HP in seconds.

It Solo Killed Navrey in less than 20 Minutes. I just wanted a 10 min whisper.

I G healed it to get it from 20% HP to 70% one time. Otherwise I just stood and watched or was typing. (also took a bathroom break)

Doing again and looking at Pet damage taken. The high ones are 27 with most 23. Then they will be 13 or 14. I assume thats when Feint is on. Feint is off more than on.

This Navrey is a webber so the pet never has dropped lower than 70%HP. Pet does some 145 damage. Normal damage is around 50.

Got bored and brought in my AI/Chiv Cu. It also can fight her without much vetting or healing.

The difference is the Cu stays at about 75% HP and will not go to 100% unless it is webbed away. But the Cu will go to 50% and back to 75%.

So a Triton out of the box is like a 2 yr old Cu.

I tried the Triton and a Reptalon side by side. All my Cus have <50 poison resist.

I took pictures at different points to show the Tritons health. I used many heals on the Reptalon to keep them at the same HP %.





Triton needed no heals. Reptalon needed healing often.

On Navrey and an Allosaurus my Archer could use this pet as a tank and not need to use mana on the pet which means the victim will die sooner when I start doing damage also.

I was impressed at navrey myself... My triton with no chiv, 126.7 wrest, 153 resisting, 87ish healing and gm in the remaining skills was beating and tanking that spider like a real Boss, barely vetted him and no consume at all. The only way Nav could consistently do some damage was by webbing me far away causing my disco wear off cause of no line of sight. This pet is ABSOLUTELY noob proof

Just happened to hit the last 2 levels of Turtle Spawn.

Tanker did great! My toon died as soon as Turtle spawned and aggroed him so I missed most of fight.



Tanker fought on his own. I got 2 legendaries. 1 was a horrible bow. And a 3 swords primer.

I got a few arrows off. My Lesser took damage.

Since I died at the Turtle, I need my Lord back so I went to the named Balrons.

Tanky killed the normal ones within 20 seconds on his own. He has 108 Chiv now.

He is a lot squishier on a Paragon Balron.



I was going to turn on Consume here. I always cast the Combat training first and wait for my mana to regen to max before I use it. But, he did some bandage heals and I decided to let him keep going.


At the end he had to recover his senses so he backed off. His Stamina was down to 90s so he was kinda standing around, but he was healing himself. So he gained HP at the end.

He took 3 minutes 15 seconds to kill the Paragon Balron. That is good time for a pet that does physical damage and is not healed so he loses stamina.

Another Paragon came so I used my Archer and did no healing.

We finished in 1 minute. That's my AI damage. His is mostly 150s.

A third Paragon came and he changed targets to my Archer. He ran a few steps tried to get the bow out of his hand so I could drink and invis potion but The Balron AI is good sometimes. He paralyzed me so I died fast.

Since I had to res with another toon, I brought the Cu down so I used him on the next one.

Cus match the resists of Balrons best. He takes less than 2 min solo with no heals from me.

Notice the Phy resist on them is high.

A group of 7 for community hunt.

I got to the top first and got aggro on Tank. Wanted to see how he would do on his own.
He drank the green goo and died pretty fast.


Got him ressed and ran consume and kept him from drinking the green goo. (I have 0 Vet)






We won. If I would have called him and placed him in places without the acid goo, he would have not died.
He takes up so many spaces it was difficult to get him at a good angle.

I don't know if we could Solo this.

We did 3 Lady Melisande tonight.

4 dogs 1 Triton first round. 1 Mage in mana regen form. We research and take the correct pets on LS.
Actually we like to take whatever pet we want at the time and kill whatever it is anyway.

I took Tanky. The mage did the Satyrs perfect they dropped dead all at one in the middle.
I ran to get Tanky on her. I ran back and didn't get healed so died. Tanky held the aggro the whole time.

I did no healing and told the others not to heal it.

That my body there:


Tanky would get get about this low and come back up.


Went down to this HP: I had to switch positions.


Stayed at this HP and went back to almost Max while Mel tried to walk around and heal herself.


By the last pic and when she died, pet was almost max HP:


Second round another Triton Joined. I did'nt get aggro.

Third round I switched to a Fire Steed. No Aggro.
