Ok, so i have a very quick question about my talent tree...

I have a warloclk who recently hit 58 and from 50 i have been using Demonology with a Felguard. Decided to go to Scholo lastnight with friends and i caused a wipeout initially due to mainly playing Solo and no instances on my lock so it's still a learning experience with me. Later once i was fed up of my Felguard causing lots of pulls (yes i had anguish off) i decided to whip out the Voidwalker.... and he tanked awesomely well for me and causing very little aggro to the surrounding mobs...

So my question is.. Is it better to play either destruction or affliction over demonology and stick to the VoidWalker and possible Fel Hunter or just Stick with Demonology and the hope that the Felguard gets better?

I know everyones playstyles are different so i expect mixed responses but i think i had more fun previously playing affliction before 50.

I have found that the Felguard is ideal soloing, but a bit of a task to handle with with others. Void walker just seems to best fill the void of meat shield for the Lock imo.

But, as you said, each player plays locks so differntly.

As a 70 lock, if you do a lot of raids, you will want to switch to affliction. However, if you are demonology specced, having your imp out for the group stamina buff and the fire shield.

That also goes for Sholo and other lower level instances.

While you did GOOD turning off Anguish, that was NOT what was causing your problem. Your FelGuard has an area effect called Cleave, which will hit all enemies around him and draw aggro. Turn both cleave and anguish off. Or, just turn cleave off and he won't draw the aggro.

Also, be sure to train him, many players forget to trian their felguard. Check out my spec on wow armory. I have no issues with my spec in high level instances and raids, but I also know when to have my felguard out and when to sacrafice him for spell and regen.

Also, if i rememeber scholo correctly, you can make use of enslave demon on the succubuses as well as banishing. It's all about knowing the power of the spec you have and how to use them and wehn to use them.
