(Question) travelling around on Siege

Can a character with zero magery travel around on Siege? I know on production shards your magery needs to be close to the scroll's level to use it. Can my character with zero magery cast gate to travel using gate scrolls? What about Sacred Journey from Chivalry? Is that considered the same as recalling and not allowed on Siege?

no, sacred journey does not work (thank god)
For gate travel you need around 45 or so magery to cast from scroll.

There is a third option though, one that seems much forgotten these days on all shards but siege, it's how true warriors travel around from place to place....I believe it is known as a "horse".....seriously though, sorsaria really isn't that big, from any moongate you're < 60 seconds running mounted from anywhere you could possibly be trying to go.

Thats one of those rules I never liked about SP. Seems kind of pointless since the no recall/SJ is defeated by gating. I don`t see what difference it would have ever made to allow recalling on SP.

The difference is gating requires some magery whereas recall does not. It basically forces dexxxors to either run or lose some points to magery.

also use the crystal portal and corrupted crystal.
there are also several hub's that have house teleporters to various places. use those.

we do not allow recall or gating out of or into dungeons also so thats another reason recall is out.
for leaving tough places perhaps use help stuck. if at a champ then walk a few yards away then use it.

From what I´ve heard it was set up this way so no one could just SJ/recall away from a dangerous situation. At least with a gate the aggressors/PKs can follow you...

And at DreadLord. I have no problem running around on my non-magery character. Like Raptor said, it doesn´t take long to get from point A to point B if you have some knowledge about this world. And on horse you´ll usually discover more of the world than with a gating char.

I know the land well, was just curious before I invested in chivalry or gate scrolls. I have been running around on a horse, just need an ethy to make life easier.

If you don't mind lots and lots of fizzles you could do what my Molly Fyde does. She has +15 ring +15 bracelet, tome of lost knowledge and treatise on Alchemy talisman, using gate scrolls. Takes a while to get anywhere, but it is possible.
