Training smithing

UO Guide says that boomerangs give the most bang for the buck in getting training points without burning ingots but seems like this is really slow right now.

I am 109.5 smithing, is this really the best way?

Gains do get few and far between at high skill levels in general.

I usually do the top part.
Because I can put these in BODs

I did try the bottom part long time ago
but I don't remember being able to smelt them.
(lot easier to add them to BODs)

you can always try using a crystall ball of knowledge
and see if it says Optimal

Get a new player token gives you accelerated skill gain in all skills and you can eat pinks a .1 becomes a .5 etc

Cinderella: All those but the shuriken will smelt. I totally ignore the shurikens because of that. There's plenty of stuff to craft that fills BODs at 75-90.

I typically slow-burn the training too, filling BODs.
