I've currently got 72.6 Ninja worked up after a couple of days of spending a few hours either beating a dog senseless or casting mirror images/animal forms. I've read through quite a few of the past Ninjitsu threads, but didn't see anything that referenced what to train from around 73 Ninja up to 80+ when you switch to Ki Attack or Deathstrike. So what do you do to train for this particular block of skill points? I tried Shadowjumping, but must be doing something wrong because I can't seem to "jump" anywhere.

I'm in the mid 70's myself.

I'm getting incredible results from shadowjumping, as well as learning the many stupid shadow jump rules, like you can't jump within 5 (I think it's 5) tiles of a house in any direction, or if there is an altitude difference between you and your destination, you often "can't see your destination" even though you can teleport there, cast spells at enemies on that tile, etc.

I shadowjumped from 65 all the way to 70, and went from the shrine of honor all the way to the city of Britain.

Then I simplified my training scheme and simply shadowjumped north one tile and south one tile. I find a flat area and simply go with it.

From what I've heard, that will take me all the way to death striking at 85 skill... at which point I have a different strategy than the commonly used "use a pet" strategy that may get me better results.

Then again, it may not. What I plan on is death striking troglodytes with my soul seeker, thus keeping me in the mana better than my LMC/MR gear. It worked great with focus attacks.

You can use jewelry to get above 80, then use either of the attacks you mentioned.

When you are using Shadowjump to train, make sure you wear armor that you never fail stealthing in (given your Stealth skill). Also, if you cannot be too close to a house for your landing spot (I think it's ~5 paces in front of the steps (southside). I would suggest jumping in a town with long roads, like Trinsic.

Did this a week or 2 ago.Shadowjumping worked fine until around 78,then it slowed down considerably. At 80 jeweled up. There seemed to be a good spot for gaining from death strike 95 an 100.

This was my problem. I was trying to jump out in front of my house. Once I moved away I was able to jump.

Really? I got up to 86.0 with Shadowjump by making a few trips around Zento. I guess Ki Attack or Deathstrike are the next ones to go for. I'll look forward to beating on some random animal later this afternoon.

.

Shadowjump works until 86,nice to know, will try this on my next ninja then. What i did notice however is that the skillgains are very jumpy sometimes. No gain for some time, then double the usual amount later on.Perhaps i did think i could not gain anymore from the shadowjumps.
EA should really add something useful to the ninjitsu skill.Im rather new and i like to get my gains while playing the game and not do some sort of grind with stupid moves.

Shadowjump works very well. Max LMC, lots of Mi and MR and Meditation if you can fit it in for traning.
Goes very smooth.

+ you can gain stealth too with it =)
