Training efficiently

What are your most efficient training methods? Post them and I will place them in this first post.

What do I mean by efficient? I mean that whilst training or playing you're always training multiple skills at once or you're training and harvesting at the same time. I'll kick this off by listing what I have been doing.

I have a 100+ fisherman who uses archery. While fishing there is an 8 second wait between casts which allows me to cast 2 spells in that time. So whenever I need to train a casting skill for one of my characters my fisherman does it. Right now he's training fishing (going to 120 currently @ 105) while macroing bushido and collecting MIB's, Fish Steaks, Scales, and horned leather for use with crafting later. Once gm the skill with be traded via soul stone.

On my other character he has weapon skills to build so I train him on skinnable animals so that I can harvest leather and meat whilst training.

So what are your methods of training and gaming efficiently?

I put together some (pre-SA) tables for tailor and blacksmith concerning what the skill gain ranges are for each item when crafting (accessible from the main UO Stratics page).

Things you can do as crafters:
1. Have your combat characters train on stuff that will bring you raw materials back (Oaks and Rikktor spawns in Ilshenar or Fel are good for this, and you don't have to finish the spawn, just hang around the edges).
2. Have your mining on a combat character and always dig with gargoyle pickaxes (either from BODs or off gargoyles). The elementals are good combat training, and provide 25 ore each.
3. Sort your BODs (using those tables I mentioned) into 3 piles (aka 3 BOD Books). One pile is stuff that's too easy to gain on. The Second is stuff that you want to bribe up before you fill. The last is stuff you can gain skill on, and don't need to bribe. Go bribe the stuff in the second book, and move it to the other two books as needed after bribes are done. Then, from easiest to hardest, fill all the ones in Book Three to gain skill. Then, fill the ones you can't gain on. Take all the filled BODs sort them again into BODs you want to keep, and ones you want to turn in for more BODs. Turn the latter bunch in, requesting a new BOD after each one turned in, and start the procedure all over again.
4. Arms lore is best trained on a character with multiple weapons/armor crafting skills.
5. Bowcrafting/Fletcher skill can be trained from 30 to GM in Heartwood, just doing the bow/crossbow quests. You'll even get a few runics along the way doing this.

Those are great tips.

Reminded me that Arms Lore, if I recall, is like Anatomy and Anatomy is another good skill that you can add to your macro when training casting spells. Cast spell, while recovering use anatomy/arms lore on another player, cast spell, etc.
