silly question? how can you tell which way they point. I have a charlaten, designer and knave whose faces turn right. a crusader, jester and minstral who face left. If any of those are what you are looking for icq me.

eek! It wasn't enough that I was trying to collect a whole set of names but now I have to collect a whole set based on which way they face?!?!

I refuse to give in to that idea! I will look and see what I have for you when I am going through the houses later.

Me too, Fran. I have almost a complete set of names. Missing 2 and my own name, I believe. I am not worried which way they face and I'm not gonna go nuts about it, but then, I'm not Stryder either. Stryder is the model for OCD.

I bet, if you had a penny, for everytime someone said that you had too much time on your hands, you could buy UO!

Doesn't that stupid quest get on your nerves? It wouldn't be so bad if you got a whole statue each time, but a little peice! And each statue takes loads of little peices!

LOL Yep, takes 10 little pieces to make a whole statue. I can zip through them pretty fast once you get going but still takes time.Then I get bored doing the same thing over and over. Seems all of UO is getting repetitive like that though.

yea, you definetely have to be in the mood for it or after 2 rounds you start staring at the wall and forgetting to do quest and which part you were on n then you totally lose all will to do it.
after a 3 n a half year break, i got back into it i did 30-40+ a day but now ive got so many and only need like 19, im gonna start doing trades and buying, and 20 rounds, 2 statues a day. but now that vahne is doing rounds, we'll start racing and the rounds will fly by hehe. seems nuts that i just passed my 1,300th round> thats like 5,200 pictures! poor tomas havin to make all those figurines lol

For all of you who can do that quest 10+ times to get these things i give you mad props. I did it once and quit lol. I have ruins to all the locations for the quest but man....

Oh...after the first 200 or 300 rounds, you get used to it.

A good rune book helps, and also some crazy macros with uoassist. With some other assorted little tricks, you can easily do 10 rounds in an hour. Oh and probably a dash of insanity helps as well.

After being on vacation a few weeks to atlantic then lake superior, finding a couple statues i needed and then trades and help from wraith, fasterthanthat,tek, and vahne, my list is much much smaller. anyone with a collection that doesnt care about directions, ill trade you the same statue just in other direction. doing trades like that has helped alot! so thanks to all thats helped so much! just few more commons to go and alot of rounds to get them rares...im getting there!

My apologies for hopping onto this thread, but I just discovered the other night that one of these obsidian statues is of a gardener. Anyone who's ever seen one of my houses knows that I NEED this statue, heehee!

If anyone happens to turn up an extra gardener statue during their obsidian quest... um... questings, could I please purchase it from you? I saved a sandstone pedestal from Magincia; so I've got just the place to put it!
