So, it mentions in some of the information I have read that by using moongates you won't get certain "rare resources". I still get SoTs when using moongates, so what am I missing out on?

There are NPC guild signs and some very rare veil from what I've read.

Thanks. I read about the veil, but it seems it is only gained from the fence, which I haven't done yet anyway. I didn't realize about missing out on the signs.
