I would much prefer that money going back into the game... just my opinion, of course.

Besides, Draconi is married now so meeting him would be... bittersweet, to say the least. :p

Considering the bad shape the economy is in, I would be very surprised if EA would provide the money for town hall meetings in the next fiscal year's budget. I'd rather see our subscription fee drop a bit and see expanded use of the Internet and the House of Commons concept than know that part of the money I'm paying is being spent on town hall meetings in the same old places to be attended by the same people as in previous years and with no guarantee that anyone besides the attendees will be privy to the announcements made at the meetings. I know WRR has provided coverage in the past but they are not required to do so and I wouldn't be suprised if they have to cut back also.

I haven't heard anything about the Town Hall schedule yet, but when I do I will make sure to let you folks know. :)

Don't hold your breath. I doubt they will budget all that money to fly around the country to talk to the same 15-20 in each town.

Not sure about the count at the others, but the last townhall meeting in Austin was overfull (100+ people). I think they'll do it for that... and it is not just the people that show up, but the reports on the forums, and WRR that spread the word further!

IT'S CALLED MARKETING! (aye... it is not marketing to new customers so much, but marketing to the current player base to assist with customer relations...)

I like the Town Halls, except for a few things. They're in the US, which I understand (I'm in Canada), but they release new information in them, but don't release any information there or have any pictures/news/video/sound actually from EA and depend on fan setups (which are great), but they really should record it. I mean they're in an establishment that probably has mics that they could record on.

Most restaurants will MAYBE have a projection screen, but they don't normally have any other in house AV gear. AV gear is expensive and isn't used often enough to pay for itself. Most gear is rented from a local facility by the party holding the event and sometimes by the restaurant.
